‘Dumsor’ to hit parts of Volta, Oti regions – PDS

The Power Distribution Services (PDS) Ghana Ltd has announced that parts of the Volta and Oti regions respectively will experience a ten-hour power outage popularly known as ‘dumsor’.

According to the PDS, the power outage will take place on Wednesday, 3rd July, 2019 from 8:00am to 6:00pm in areas such as Tsito, Anyirawasa, Kpeve, Peki, Dzemene, Kpando, Sovie, Vakpo, Amedzope, Anfoega, Nkonya, Alavanyo, Kwamekrom, Hohoe, Golo-Kwati, Fodome, Wli, Likpe, Ayoma, Jasikan, Wurawura, Bodada, Kadjebi, Nkwanta and Dambai.

The PDS in a statement issued on Monday explained that, the planned power outage is necessitated by a request from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) for “maintenance works at the Kpeve Bulk Supply Point”.

“The inconvenience that will arise by this request by GRIDCo is deeply regretted,” the statement concluded.
